Calender month 1

I was asked to make a birthday calender. I've been moving it to the bottom of my "to-do-pile" for some time now, because I don't really now how to tackle this. I'm not supposed to work with real photos. So if I don't use a photo, what do I use? It's going to be A4-sized. What you see here, will be the top part of the first month, while the blank calender will be the bottom half. I think I'm going to bind it with rings.

* cut out a big circle from pattern paper, and strips of 3 other papers
* print digital images from generous sponser on the blogs
* distressed and chalked edges, mounted on dark green cardstock
* glued whole lot as seen
* stamped in white Versamagic in top right corner
* added cut-out swirl with bling
* added 2 yellow flowers, with buttons
* finished off with sentiment

Challenges:

1. Pink Elephant 66 - yellow, designer paper, buttons
2. Everybody Art 90 - make a gift (if this works, i know what the family are getting for Christmas)
3. Sketchy Thursdays - sketch
