Catching up ...

 

Missing the challenges, but have to catch up on my scrapping ... this one is for December 2008!!!

Gold Reef City

 

You know how sometimes a page just don't work ... this was one of them. I couldn't decide on the backgroud ... or the patterned papers ... or the embelishments. I mean, the photos had basically all the colours of the rainbow in them ... which one to pick .... I tried green ... red ... pink ... brown ... blue ... black ... all of them. Not one really fit ... so ... I used a colourful flower garden :-)

Pre-primary concert

 

When my daughter was in pre-primary (she is now in Gr.2!!!!), the end of year concert was Snow White and the EIGHT dwarfs. The first two pages I had to scrap, went fine, but the third and last one, just couldn't "form" in my mind. Today I forced myself to finish it.

Again I tried to combine two challenges ... in this case I used Sketch 47 from Card Patterns and "Friendship in white, black and silver" from Stamptacular Sunday's Challenge 42.

I'm never sure if the stamp I used is little flowers or stars, but in this case I preferred to "see" stars :-)

My daughter just love Bobby van Jaarsveld. She knows the words of all his songs by heart. In December we attended a show of him and I made this for her to keep the memory alive :-)
